Kunjapuri Trek

Hiking to the Kunjapuri temple from Rishikesh is an amazing way to take in the scenery. Any fit person can do the 9-kilometer uphill walk one way and return to Rishikesh by car. The journey to the temple will take approximately 4-5 hours. If climbing upwards is too difficult for you, you can drive up to the temple and take a downhill stroll while still seeing the mountains and villages of the Garhwal Himalayas.

It is a Hindu temple devoted to the goddess Kunjadevi, a local deity who is revered by the locals. The temple is around 30 kilometers from Rishikesh city and is easily accessible by road. The temple is built on a hilltop with a panoramic view of the Indian Himalayan range, including several noteworthy peaks such as Chaukhamba and Sumeru.
