Corbett National Park at the foothills of the Himalayas is famous especially for its tigers. Named after the famous conservationist- Jim Corbett, the park offers some great Jeep safari opportunities along with the benefit of some spectacular wildlife in your wake. One of the Jungle safari opportunities is at the Bijrani Range where you can go for a half day safari either in the morning or afternoon or both in morning and afternoon. This safari is for almost 3 hours in the park with an open jeep giving an open view of the flora and fauna and the animals. 3 Days 2 Night package is good for this tour.
Day 01:
ARRIVAL AT RAMNAGAR:
Arrive at the resort in Corbett by lunch, after which you can take walk in the backyard of the resort. There is river behind the resort and there are lots birds in the area. One can enjoy nature and appreciate the varied plants, insects, birds, mammals and reptiles that inhabit this part of the country. THE QUIETER YOU ARE, THE MORE YOU WILL SEE. Back to Resort by sundown for campfire and dinner. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 02:
CORBETT SAFARI: 2 HALF DAYS SAFARIS (MORNING & EVENING)
We leave early morning in an open 4WD jeep with the in-house driver and naturalist for a Half day game drive to the Bijrani range to observe the wildlife of the area. Entry here is through Amdanda Gate, 5 Km from resort. 7 Km further arrives the Bijrani forest rest house. From here many criss-cross jungle trails lead into the forest increasing your adrenaline level as you dwell further into the jungle area where you feel humans are basically outcasts as the wilderness of the area creeps in! We come out of park for lunch at the resorts and then re-enter again for afternoon safari. It is 3 hours inside for each safari.
After a full, action-packed day in the forest, we head back to resort by sundown, just in time for that hot cup of tea or coffee. After a quick wash, join your hosts by the campfire for drinks and snacks and resume the discussions leftover from the previous night. For those of you weary from the long day, dinner would be ready under the restaurant after which you can retire for the night.
Day 03:
DEPART FROM RAMNAGAR:
Tea & coffee is served at the dining area. After breakfast, depart to your own destination.
